Picture this: it's July 2020. Amidst the pandemic, with vaccine clinics and COVID-19 testing sites, my mother approached me asking, "Can you make me around 20 mini charcuterie boards so I can give them to the volunteers at the COVID clinics?" Since then, the volunteers who received those boxes kept asking me over and over, "Are you selling these? Can I buy these boards from you?" They posted pictures on social media and the word spread. Finally, two years later in 2022, I decided I should make this a little side business and I used Instagram as my primary selling platform. Because I was working as a Marketing Intern at the same time, I limited the amount of orders I was capable of fulfilling to be on the weekends. Nevertheless, I was still able to make around $2,000 in revenue between June and July of 2022.
